Stocking Shelves, Feeding Others

Stocking Shelves, Feeding Others -Suncoast Haven of Rest is a non-profit set up to help homeless and low-income people with food and other forms of help. Originally established in Pinellas Park, Fla., it is now located in St. Petersburg.

In two of these photos, Randy, who worked at Haven of Rest with his wife, Colleen, when Haven was in Pinellas Park, is filling shelves with donated food. In the last photo, Randy and another worker gather food for a local woman. While she had a small home, her money didn't stretch far enough to eat throughout the month.

Barnes' Buddies Gathering, 2 - Barnes' Buddies is a non-profit charity started by the doctors and staff at Pinellas Animal Hospital in Pinellas Park, Fla. Named in memory of the hospital's long-time house pet, Barnes, the charity was created to help assist brought in to Pinellas Animal Hospital.

On December 3, Pinellas Animal Hospital held a gathering to raise money for Barnes' Buddies. Besides plenty of food, a silent auction and a 50-50 drawing were held. These are some of the photos from the evening. Other photos were posted here on Thursday, December 10.
