Karma and Drexie

Karma and Drexie - Karma is the black cat, Drexie is half in the photo. Karma passed away June 23, 2022, at the ripe old age of 15. Drexie (and the rest of Karma's family) still miss him.

Drexie in the Cupboard

Drexie in the Cupboard - Drexie Calabash has an odd habit of showing up in the strangest places. But what else would you expect of a cat?

Alligator, Salt Creek

Alligator, Salt Creek - For the record, I had a friend driving me around to take photos of Salt Creek for a class at USFSP. The friend casually pointed out, "There's a 'gator there!" My response was to get closer and take photos of the alligator. Friend finally insisted that I "get in the d#*n car!", then mentioned that he had figured my response to learning about the critter would have been to leave, immediately. C'est la vie.

Carny and Rides, County Fair

Carny and Rides, County Fair

The Pinellas County Fair landed in the England Brothers Park in Pinellas Park (Fla.) in March 2011. One of the carnies, whose ride was located near the entrance/exit, saw the camera. "You here to photograph the fair?" he wanted to know. "You should take my picture!" He went on to tell me that he'd spent most of his life working carnivals and fairs, "just working the circuit. It's a great life, if you don't have no ties!" There was something almost sad, though, in the way he said that, even as he was hamming it up.

The third photo was done alone on October 10. This group was last posted on May 13, 2022.
